1 Teaching methods

       First, the teacher uses questions for activating prior knowledge. And then the teacher explains about the topic and asks questions for stimulating the students. The teacher always introduces the objective of the topic those students have to learn today and leads them to discuss the topic.

Where students have to do assignment by themselves or groups depend on content on the topic, they can’t search the internet, but can ask their friends or teacher, which walks around the class to help and facilitates to students to find answers to assignment students must finish assignments on limit time. Then, the students present and explain the method to find answers on the board. The teacher and students summarize about the topic together with uses questions.

 

2 Learning materials and innovation

         The SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 2, Yogyakarta my school, they designation student- centered, Collaborative Approach and they integrate technology in classroom teaching. I observed the following learning materials inside the school;

     a.Computers with internet 

         - The internet connection

         - E-leaning system

     b. Library

         - Encyclopedia

         - Almanac

         - Magazines

         - Gazettes

         - General Books in Math, Science English, Bahasa etc

    c. Laboratory Rooms and apparatuses for Science

    d. Overhead Projectors

    e. White Board

    f. Air-conditioning system

 

 

3 Sources of learning and technology

         The source of learning and technology came from the teachers and school administrators guided by their curriculum proposed by the ministry of education in Indonesia. Students can study by themselves at library, that have a lot of knowledge video, board games, and they can find many books. Further, they can use computers to surf the Internet and learn about technology in the computer room.        

 

4 Authentic assignment

          The teacher uses the following Assessment tools:

     a. Activities with worksheets

     b. Worksheets for comprehension check

     c. Performance-based assessment

     d. Objective test (quiz, long test, unit test etc.)

     e. Work with group

     f. Presentation in front of class

 

 5 Others

          Students always pray to respect Lord which gives opportunity for them. Then, there greeting teacher and friends before class start and after class finished.
